REFUND POLICY

Last updated: October 27, 2026

This Refund Policy forms part of our Service Agreement and explains when amounts paid are refunded and when they are not.
AB License LLC, operating under the assumed name License.US, is an independent consulting company. We are not a government agency, are not affiliated with any state licensing board, and have no authority to issue a license. Decisions on your application are made by the state authority, and we cannot influence them.
1. What You Pay For
Your costs fall into two categories, and different refund rules apply to each.
1.1. The Company's fee — payment for our work: individual consultation, review of your case and strategy selection, preparing and checking documents, translations, completing and filing your application, and handling correspondence with the relevant authority.
1.2. Payments to third parties — government fees, examination fees, credential evaluation fees, tuition at accredited schools, access to third-party educational platforms, notarization, apostille, and postal or courier charges.
Payments to third parties are never refundable by the Company, as they were not paid to us. Any refund of such payments, where possible at all, must be requested directly from the recipient.
2. When a Refund Is Issued
2.1. Cooling-off period. If you cancel within 3 calendar days of payment and before work has begun, 100% of the fee is refunded, less the payment processor's fee. Work is deemed to have begun when the individual consultation takes place or document review starts, of which we notify you in writing. The initial consultation before payment is free of charge and is not part of the paid services.
2.1.1. You cancel after work has begun. The fee is allocated across stages: individual consultation, case review and strategy selection — 25%; preparation and review of the document package, including translations — 35%; completion and submission of the application — 25%; support until the authority issues its decision — 15%. We retain the value of the stages completed as of the date your cancellation is received, and refund the remainder. The retained amount compensates for costs actually incurred, work performed and resources reserved.
2.2. The Company is unable to deliver the services for its own reasons. You are refunded the amount paid, less costs actually incurred and the value of work already performed. The amount withheld is calculated using the stages set out in 2.1.1, and we provide you with a written calculation.
2.3. The Company terminates the Agreement through no fault of yours. The process described in Section 2.2 applies.
3. When No Refund Is Issued
3.1. The authority denied your application on grounds relating to you: failure to pass a background check, failure to meet state requirements, or submission of inaccurate or falsified documents.
3.2. You provided inaccurate, incomplete or falsified information, or failed to disclose circumstances affecting your application.
3.3. You did not respond to our requests for 90 consecutive calendar days.
3.4. You independently took actions that made delivery of the services impossible.
3.5. The services have been delivered in full.
3.6. The Company terminated the Agreement because you breached its terms.
A denial by the authority is not in itself grounds for a refund where our work was performed. We are responsible for the quality of the preparation and filing, not for the authority's decision.
4. How to Request a Refund
4.1. Send a written request to [email protected] within 30 calendar days of termination. Include your name, your state and the reason for your request.
4.2. We review the request and provide our decision, with a calculation of the amount, within 10 business days.
4.3. Approved refunds are issued within 10 business days using the original payment method.
5. Payment Disputes
5.1. If you have a billing concern, please contact us first at [email protected]. We will make a good-faith effort to resolve it.
5.2. Initiating a chargeback without contacting us first, where services have been delivered or commenced, is a breach of the Service Agreement. In that event we may provide the payment processor with the Agreement, the parties' correspondence and evidence of work performed, and may recover the costs we incur.
5.3. Dispute resolution, governing law and the venue for disputes are set out in Section 14 of the Service Agreement.
6. General
6.1. This Policy applies to the fullest extent permitted by applicable law. If any provision is held unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect.
6.2. In the event of any conflict between this Policy and the Service Agreement, the Service Agreement prevails.
6.3. We may update this Policy. The revised version will be posted on this page with an updated date. Services paid for before a revision is published remain governed by the version in effect at the time of payment.
