About us
We have been working since 2021. In that time: more than 4,000 consultations and cases, 2,000 professional licenses obtained and 1,000 business cases — LLCs, salons, studios and training centers. In all 50 states, for beauty professionals, massage therapists, healthcare workers, contractors and business owners.
There is no single set of licensing rules in the U.S. Each state has its own licensing authority, its own required training hours, its own exam and its own list of documents. Even license names differ: what one state calls an esthetician, another licenses as a facial specialist and a third as a skin care specialist.
For professionals educated outside the U.S., it gets even harder. The diploma has to be evaluated, documents translated, training hours matched against state requirements, and any missing hours completed. A single mistake along the way can cost months of waiting — and sometimes a denial.
Many people come to us after six months of trying on their own, or after a denial that forced them to start over. That is how our work took shape: understand the requirements of a specific state and guide each person through them without unnecessary detours.
Review of your case and your state’s requirements, verification of foreign education and work experience, preparation of documents and the application, exam eligibility and registration for licensing exams, support until the licensing authority makes its decision.
We renew active licenses and reinstate expired ones, following the state’s requirements for the current cycle. The earlier you start, the easier it is: once a license expires, it becomes a different procedure.
Endorsement and reciprocity. Every state has its own rules: in some, verifying an active license is enough; in others, you may need a state law exam, additional hours or documented work experience. We check the requirements of the receiving state and prepare the documents.
Company formation, licenses for salons, studios, medical spas and training centers, city and county permits, preparation for state inspections.
This is our core audience, and we understand its challenges well. A diploma from another country rarely matches U.S. requirements one to one: a different program structure, a different number of hours, different subject names.
Sometimes it turns out that part of the requirements is already met and the path is shorter than expected. Sometimes it is the opposite — an education evaluation, translations and additional hours are needed. Sorting this out before submitting documents, not after a denial, is exactly what we do.
We start with your case, not with a service. Your profession, state, education, experience and available documents determine which path is open to you: with or without an exam, whether an education evaluation is needed, whether your training hours are sufficient. Until this is checked, it is too early to talk about timelines and cost.
Then a team takes over: licensing and industry specialists, with a personal manager assigned to you. Your manager handles the case from the first review to the state’s decision, keeps track of deadlines and explains every step — in English, Spanish, Russian or Ukrainian.
You remain the applicant: you review and confirm the application yourself. Everything else — documents, translations, forms, correspondence with the state authority and deadline tracking — we take care of.
The decision is made by the state licensing authority, and no company can guarantee it. What we can do is check your documents in advance, build the right sequence of steps and prepare the application to reduce the risk of the common delays and denials that depend on document preparation.
If your path is a long one, or the requirements have changed against you, we will tell you right away — not after payment.
License.US is a group of three divisions: licensing, License.US.Course — our own platform for beauty exam preparation, and License.US.School — our training center in Chicago, with in-person classes and CE hours for Illinois license renewal.
Where the work is done by outside organizations, we bring in partners we have vetted: credential evaluation and document translation are handled by agencies that work to state board requirements, and we recommend CE courses only from providers we have tested ourselves. You do not look for a provider at every stage and you do not vet them yourself — you stay with the same manager.
Tell us about your situation — we will check which path to a license is open in your case and give you the timeline and cost. The consultation is free.
